World of Enchantment: Main Street, U.S.A.
This is where it all begins. Guests enter the "opening credits" of the park by coming into Main Street, U.S.A., an American Midwestern town at the turn of the Twentieth Century. This street takes guests down to the hub, where other areas are accessible.
Guests first enter Main Street through a large hill with a floral Mickey face on it. Above it is the Main Street station for the Disneytopia Railroad, where trains depart to Frontierland. Behind the hill is the town square. Here, guests can seek help at City Hall or go to the Firehouse to purchase interactive wands, which cause magical things to happen across the park. Both of these are found on the left while the Main Street Opera House is found on the right. This plays Mickey and the Magic Hat, an original stage show. Guests can also meet Mickey himself nearby in Mickey's Magic Room.
Going down the street, guests can find shopping and dining experiences. On the left is the Emporium, the largest store in the park. On the right is Crystal Arts, Disney Clothiers, and Tony's Deli. Alternate entrances into Harbor Square and Tomorrowland are found here in two covered passages. One block down on the left is Walt's American Restaurant, Main Street Candy Co. and Photo Parlor. On the right is the Pin Traders, Main Street Suppliers, Gibson Gal Ice Cream, and Dapper Dan's Barber Shop. The Dapper Dans and Main Street Marching Band are also found around here. To go down the street from the square to the hub are two modes of transportation: Horse-Drawn Streetcars and the Omnibus.
At the end of the street is the hub. Here, guests find two restaurants on the sides: Parkside Cafe on the left and the Plaza Inn Restaurant on the right. In the center of the hub is the iconic "Partners" statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, standing in front of a pond where fountains perform at night. Going clockwise around the hub are entrances to Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Behind the pond is the Enchanted Fairytale Castle, which serves as an alternate entrance to Fantasyland. On it is a stage where several shows perform, including Mickey's Festival of Fantasy.

Like every traditional Castle Park, there is a main street going to the hub. I wanted it to have a nostalgic feel to take guests back to the earlier parks made by Walt and Roy Disney, and so I applied the timeless turn of the century design. I know the generation who remembers America like this has died off, but that is what adds intrigue for some of the younger people. It's a viewing of how thing were in Walt's childhood, which to me, is intriguing enough.
